Welcome the Newest Additions to Our Department
The Statistics Department has welcomed several new faculty and staff in recent months. They bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise, enhancing the richness of our academic community. We’re excited to have them on board, contributing to our academic community. Let us introduce you to each of those who have joined our ranks.
Bridget Harrison, HR Partner (started June 19, 2023)
Bridget Harrison graduated from Appalachian State University. She most recently served as the Human Resource Coordinator for AppalCART, overseeing human resources matters for public transportation in Boone, NC.
Josh Agner, Business Manager (started June 26, 2023)
Josh Agner, an alumnus of NC State for both his undergraduate and graduate studies, has worked at NC State for 15 years. He previously held the position of Director of Business Operations for the Poole College of Management at NC State.
Nathaniel Josephs, Assistant Professor (started July 1, 2023)
Nathaniel Josephs earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Boston University in 2021 and subsequently served as a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University from 2021-2023. His research interests center on network analysis, Bayesian nonparametrics, causal inference, and applications to chemistry and materials science.
Isabel Lopez Ayala, Graduate Program Coordinator (started August 1, 2023)
Isabel Lopez Ayala, a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York, has a professional background as an International Student Advisor and Graduate Admissions Counselor at the same institution.
Annie Booth, Assistant Professor (started August 1, 2023)
Annie Booth graduated with a Ph.D. in Statistics from Virginia Tech in May 2023. Her research areas include: computer experiments, surrogate modeling, statistical computing, and uncertainty quantification.
Rosemary Danaher, Lecturer (started August 1, 2023)
Rosemary Danaher holds a B.S. in Mathematics/Computer Science from Fairfield University, an MBA from the University of New Haven, and an M.S. in Mathematics/Statistics from Fairfield University. With previous teaching experiences at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield University, and University of New Hampshire, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Statistics at the University of New Hampshire, expected to be completed in 2024.
