Ready for Anything

NC State’s undergraduate statistics program is the place to prepare for a bright future. Our rapidly growing undergraduate program has one of the largest groups of students and faculty in the country. Our large faculty enables us to offer more individualized attention for each student, as well as a wide variety of courses and research opportunities.

Courses and research in data science, analytics, statistical computing and programming prepare students for careers on the cutting edge of statistical fields. Our major curriculum is specifically designed with flexibility to accommodate interdisciplinary training so that students can tailor their education to their interests and goals. And our minor is an excellent complement to degree studies in any field.

More than one-third of our students go on to graduate study, including NC State’s prestigious Master of Science in Advanced Analytics program. Others pursue careers in diverse and lucrative professional fields, including technology, marketing, sports, biostatistics and data analysis. Our prime location in the growing Research Triangle area of North Carolina means internship and employment opportunities with industry leaders like SAS, GSK and IQVIA (formerly Quintiles) are just a short drive away.
