Statistics Education
The Statistics Education group focuses on sharing and developing best practices for teaching and learning statistics at all levels as well as maintaining a rigorous and relevant undergraduate statistics curriculum. Access to undergraduate research and internship opportunities, course design, integrating technology and all other issues related to creating a welcoming atmosphere in which students can effectively learn statistics are of interest to the group.
The group meets weekly during the academic year to discuss issues affecting our current teaching loads and have as-needed meetings for any current special projects. Meetings are informal, and all interested faculty are invited to participate.
