Title: On Inference in Observational Studies
Abstract:

In this talk, I will discuss some aspects of asymptotic inference from observational data. In particular, we will try to understand the question of inferring causal quantities of interest in nonparametric, semiparametric, and high dimensional parametric settings and discuss some progress in the direction of “assumption robust inference.” This talk is based on several past and ongoing explorations with—James Robins, Eric Tchetgen Tchetgen, Whitney Newey, Subhabrata Sen, Pragya Sur, Kuanhao Jiang, Sean McGrath, Lingling Li, Lin Liu, and Aad Van der Vaart.
