Dr. Eric Laber – 2018 Investigator Award

Eric Laber has been selected as the 2018 recipient of the Raymond J. Carroll Young Investigator Award. This award is presented biennially to a statistician who is within 10 years of his PhD for outstanding contributions to the field of statistics.

Alumni Spotlight: Chris Franck

Christopher Franck received his Ph.D. from the Department of Statistics in 2010 under the direction of Jason Osborne. From 2010 to 2016, Franck was an assistant research professor in the Department of Statistics at Virginia Tech, where he also served as the assistant director of the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis.
