Dr. Fred Wright – $1.3 Million from NIH

Fred Wright, Professor in the Statistics Department, has been awarded a $1.3 million grant from the National Insitute of Mental Health, titled "Systems approaches to link tissue-specific expression to disease."

1.3 Million Dollar Proposal Dr. Laber and Dr. Reich

Eric and Brian in collaboration with a couple of faculty from Applied Ecology (Collazo and Pacifici) have got awarded a 1.3 Million dollars proposal from the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, San Juan, to work on "Conservation Design and Habitat Conservation in Puerto Rico".

The Journal of Statistics Education (JSE) was founded here in our Department by Jackie Dietz, former faculty member, this journal annually gives the Jackie Dietz award to the best paper among all those appearing in JSE.
