Remote File Access

The department mounts Active Directory File space as your primary storage space on department PCs running Microsoft Windows. When you save a file in Documents or Desktop it is really saved on S:\Documents or S:\Desktop which is stored on a department server. This way, when you log in into a different department computer your saved files are available.
